Welcome to Good Shepherd Catholic Church!
Founded as St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church by Bohemian settlers in 1892, Good Shepherd has a rich history and a bright vision for the future.

Led by Fr. James J. Seitz since the fall of 2014, parishioners daily rejoice in his obvious passion for people, excitement for youth and drive and determination to accomplish goals. In his first few months on the job, Fr. Seitz arranged for new signage on the parish and religious education center, spearheaded a fundraising campaign for the repair of the bell tower and carillons, laid plans for refreshed landscaping on church grounds and a resurfaced parking lot and ordered a new church directory — all efforts welcomed by Good Shepherd congregants.

Good Shepherd has a thriving Faith Formation program, an active Knights of Columbus council and Council of Catholic Women and a strong bond with the other two churches in its Tri-Parish cluster.

Just as those early pioneers gave of their time, talents and treasure to form a parish and build a church all those years ago, their successors today do the same in order to ensure Good Shepherd is home to Jackson area worshippers for generations to come. read more
